What Roastd checks in your ARK config
Paste GameUserSettings.ini, Game.ini and your launch command. Roastd reads all three together, so a flag on the command line counts as much as a line in a file.
It catches the ones that cost you. A blank ServerAdminPassword leaving the admin console open. bUseSingleplayerSettings rewriting your rates on a dedicated box. Settings in the wrong file where the game ignores them. DifficultyOffset with no OverrideOfficialDifficulty, capping wild dino levels. Imprint values that are mathematically unreachable. Autosave off. The same setting written twice. Curly quotes from a pasted guide that the parser silently drops.
Every finding comes with the exact line to paste, and the shared report shows your config back with the problem lines highlighted.
Why are my ARK dino levels low?
Almost always DifficultyOffset set on its own. On a dedicated server DifficultyOffset alone leaves wild creatures capped well below the maximum, no matter what value you give it. For level 150 wild dinos you need OverrideOfficialDifficulty=5.0 in the [ServerSettings] block of GameUserSettings.ini, which takes over from DifficultyOffset entirely. Roastd flags the combination and gives you the exact line to paste.
Why is bUseSingleplayerSettings changing my rates?
bUseSingleplayerSettings=True layers ARK's singleplayer balance on top of the multipliers you set, so harvest, taming and maturation all end up different from the numbers written in GameUserSettings.ini. It is meant for single-player worlds and does nothing helpful on a dedicated box. Set it to False and tune the rates directly. Roastd reports it whenever it finds it switched on alongside a dedicated server config.
